Probably becasue it is not really that exciting stuff when you are designing parts for that sort of thing - i used to do that as well - for marconi, gec, ferranti, bae. That's not fun....fun is standing on the upper deck of a County Class Destroyer while firing a Sea Slug missile (approx 2 tons & 20 ft long) and watching it leave the ship and hit the water....then resurface the other side of the ship and head skywards at Mach 1.5. Terrifying stuff but great a sinking submarines. Virtually every single Sea Slug or Seacat shoot I witnessed went in the water until we actually used it in anger.....
