I had all the usual B5 squeaks. Felt like Nige says, but also Audi sell an amazing door seal conditioner which real cures the door squeaks. I can't believe I suffered it for years only to consider have the rubbers and window seals replaced. One application of what ever the stealer put on fixed the prob and it never returned????? :-)

Thanks for all the advice. Ended up buying Anti rattle felt strips from vagparts - only £2.51 + postage.

Fitted to all the offending areas over the weekend, wow what a difference, no more creaks and rattles, even got rid of the really bad creak on the arm rest. No more noise from the parcel shelf cover at the rear.

Amazing the difference, feels all new again - very happy!

Agree, but Krytox is more effective and longer lasting on the rubber seals. VW sells it as "special lubricant" for conditioning rubber seals on the Eos. Expensive, but worth it.

And how do they work exactly?

Just stick random pads around the place?
