iPod track selection
iPod track selection
I have the ipod adaptor fitted to my RNSE B7 RS4 2006
When i select a album it will only play 2-3 songs then will play a random track from another album, also it keeps selecting more or less the same songs, I have close to 30GB of music, just seems strange!
Also when i skip a track it also played a random songs, I was hoping it would play them all in Alphabetical Order like it is on my ipod, I have made sure i have not selected random etc etc, am I doing something wrong?....to me it just seems a waste of 180 quid!

Do you not need to set it up in playlists? to mimic a cd changer? Thats how some of the Audi Ipod adaptors work anyway...

Correct card sir thats how most ipod adaptors work, unless you are lucky enough to have a becker headunit/becker ipod adaptor and you then control your ipod on the headunit just like controlling your ipod in real life.SJS wrote:Do you not need to set it up in playlists? to mimic a cd changer? RE: Re: RE: iPod track selection
The Audi iPod adapter makes the first 5 playlists appear as CDs1..5, and CD6 is the whole contents of the iPod - so without playlists only CD6 will work correctly.

ahh ok that makes sence, I was aware you have to make play lists, but to be honest its not my thing, i cant be bother to sit at a laptop and play with playlists, i just want to plug and go, like most of us here!PetrolDave wrote:The Audi iPod adapter makes the first 5 playlists appear as CDs1..5, and CD6 is the whole contents of the iPod - so without playlists only CD6 will work correctly.
so CD 6 will play the whole contents then from 1st track to last?
I have read the manule and is not that helpful TBH

Correct
If it works like the Dension adapter, you can (if you like) set the ipod to shuffle instead, and then advance through the tracks randomly instead of in artist order

I don't suppose any software update might allow 'better' control of the iPod or is this simply a limitation of the headunit?
