RE: air/con
on my car the fan seams to run as soon as the key is turned more or less weather the eco button is pushed or not, but when i switch it off manualy the bloody windscreen mists up!! i cant win...
Re: air/con
bit puzzled. the eco button should turn the compressor off, but the a/c fan on. you are saying that the button is pressed (light) and the compressor is still on. are you sure it is not just the a/c fan that is on?johnny11 wrote:my eco button on the climate control will not turn off, the light stays on all the time, and now if i`ve got the the whole climate control off you can still hear the compressor whirling away when it should turn off, thought i`d ask here first before i go the dealers..

RE: Re: air/con
if i turn the fan on the econ light comes on (red light) after a few seconds and will not turn off how ever much you press it, then if i turn the fan off by pressing the - button until the who air/con is off you still hear the compresser whirling away.
RE: Re: air/con
You might hear the fan but the a/c compressor is just a pump that has a electromagnetic clutch , all you can hear is a "click" as it switches on or off .

the econ light should go on and then off with each depress. check that you don't have sticky buttons, as this can sometimes be the culprit - otherwise you have a fault. does your normal a/c work ok?
