Night time scamera warning

Post by ARSEY4 » Thu Jan 31, 2008 9:28 am

Couldnt beleive it driving to a restaurant last night at 7.00pm and those scumbag low life theiving idle warts of society now hide at night. Seen them twice now once hid under a tree with the lazy no good driver reading a magazine.
I really cant catch my breath why are they not patrolling.
FFS if you know anyone who has to operate these things tell them they ought to have some morals and get a proper job they are no better than beggars at a cashpoint. I really could not do that job. Atleast get the vans outside a school.
1..2...3...4...5 and relax.
Be warned the enemy now have night vision.

Camera vans are the cream of sh*te. So I am led to believe, those that are operated by Police officers can only be operated out of hours - so on an overtime basis. How crap is that? We are paying them more for it than normal traffic wan*ers.?

Wasn't the law "clarified" several years ago to state that images could only be optically enhanced rather than enhanced digitally/by means of a computer. Optical enhancement would be the use of zoom lenses. However, night vision must involve some digital/computer aided enhancement?
Perhaps we have to wait for a test case?

Yes, I do believe so but don;t know enough about the detail of night vision. There was a landmark case where some guy went through a speed camera at 90mph odd in a 60 zone at night. The Police had cropped and enlarged the picture in order to clearly make out the reg no. The case was thrown out as the picture had been tampered with.

Had they set-up flood lights around the area, that would have made all the difference.

Good call Derdle.
