Auto Exchange - Audi Accident Repair People

Post by ZeroK66 » Tue Jan 22, 2008 5:46 pm

Had someone reverse into my car marking the bumper, cracking it and pushing in the wing, nothing major, but needing repair.

Called my local dealership, they took my details and 10 mins later I had a call from Accident Exchange.

They took accident details and the 3rd party details and off they went. 2 hours later called me back with a booking in 2 days time with the local Audi repair centre. They are delivering an "equivalent replacement vehicle" to use while the car is in. The equivalent happens to be a 57 plate RS4... fantastic!

I shall get it on Thursday... just thought I would let you know of the service. If you ever have a ding, your fault, not your fault, major, minor, they can sort the lot. Just call your dealer.

Cheers,

I've been in a "57" merc s320 for the last week , not bad but @ £365 a day a bit much .

As the accident is not my fault and I am entitled to an equivalent replacement vehicle the other insurance company is covering all the costs. I have the option to take out a £10 insurance policy - if for whatever reason the other insurer does not fork out for my repairs or the loan car I dont pay a penny.

Nice

I have an Audi Accident Support Card and called the number on the card following an accident last year. I heard nothing back from them and chased them 2 other times to be told someone would call me back. Eventually it went through my insurer and I finally got a call from Audi 3 days after reporting the accident, by which time my car had been placed at a repair centre by my insurer. Would've prefered an RS4 to the Hyundai getz I had. :bash:

Mmm, quite a contrast in service!!

Blue - I believe this is available to any Audi or VW owner... it is a VAG thing, so perhaps the whole group?

Received the car yesterday, going to do a write up on what I think in the B7 forum.

Quite funny... they delivered a YELLOW RS4 lol

Erm, as some of you may already know, I had a bit of a prang yesterday. And now my car also needs to be fixed (bumper and slight bonnet damage).

Thing is, this is going to be a bit of a contested issue as to whose fault it was (see my post on S4 b5 section for details). So, if I went to Audi do you lads reckon I can get a like-for-like car too? :) If so, that'll be one good thing that comes from this incident.

WHOOPS  ! Just re-read Zero's post. Gonna call Audi tomorrow. Do I tell em I want like for like? Also, if I wanted to get an RS4 bumper instead of the normal S4... and I was prepared to pay the difference, do you reckon my insurance co would allow it?

Hi Alps... I was absolutely fuming reading your post... I am gutted and I am so sorry. Auto Exchange will sort the whole lot out for you. Like for like is a standard across the board. RS4 bumper instead of standard I dont know... you can probably speak to the body shop directly once the repair is approved and pay the difference direct, should be okay?

Give your local stealer a call tomorrow and ask for ax to contact you... all being well you too will get the great service I did. You may find they wont give you a replacement vehicle as whose fault it is has not been settled.

Thanks Zero. Will bell em tomorrow. Hopefully justice will prevail and so will get a like-for-like courtesy car.
