NORTH WEST Meet --> Location change? <--

Post by Stigter » Fri Jan 25, 2008 11:31 pm

I think we all talked about changing the meeting point for the North West meeting - It seems like we are all traveling long distances to meet.

Ideas have been made for a pub just off the M6 jct 21.

Everyone just post:

Area traveling from
If your for a change or not.

We can then map it out and see what happens

Good call Stigter. We had this debate recently but it didn't go anywhere

For me, attending a North West Meet is always going to be a long way.

The main reason we haven't been in recent months is that the place has gone downhill. When I first attended, over 2 years ago, the food was excellent, and never had a bad meal, and the beer was, well, beer, a good selection (not that I ever had more than a couple of halves when I was driving, but it was quite an important point for the boys who weren't :beerchug: )

The place may have its own little micro-climate huddled away on the top of the Pennines, but the surroundings are good, some attendees have come and gone, and there's some new ones I haven't met yet, but the main issue for me is poor food and off beer - it can spoil the evening. Maybe it's improved?

OK, rant off.

Area traveling from : West Yorkshire.
Change or not : errrm, go on then...

Clive , i came up to Leeds /Wakefield on Thursday night . It took 1 hr to get to j21 in a slow old transit from the wakefield junction on the m1 .

Why don't we give this venue a go this month and try another next month .

PS .Is that Mrs H in the Audi hot pants ..

Grizz - sounds good to me - lets give it a try

PS - very observant, but it wasn't MrsH  If I'm not mistaken, it was taken at GTi International last year, but I can't take any credit for it (nor can Paz!) - I pinched it from S2forum

Mascrat Manor
Juniper Lane, Manchester Road, Woolston, Warrington, Cheshire, WA3 6DR

Surely make more sense. Well lit carpark - 2 for 1. Other clubs make use of it so can't be doing too much wrong.

it looks about 20-30 mile for most people.

Is this the place Cliveh and Grizz is taking about trying then?
