just look at this pic to see what i meant when i said face of manifold..
it is not a difficult job to do and certaintly not worth paying someone to do..surely if your going to go to all the trouble modifiying your car you would atleast wanna put something into it yourself..other than opening your wallet..
otherwise hand over your car and credit card and say call me when its done..or you've hit the card limit..

ive seen these manifolds recently and how many have gone wrong..more than the OEM manifolds that develop a rattle..or just word of mouth..anybody on here fitted them and had a bad experience..other than MRC..that is..
with so many problems noted on the ebay manifolds

thats my manifold!the welds protrude about 3-4 mm at certain points, obviously it wont make a huge difference removing them, they will cause more turulence than anything,if they are opened out to the same size as the head there will be marginally better flow, worth doing if your doing other bits too,ie turbos

you are not taking extra material off any runners - you are just getting rid of the lip on the exhaust manifold where it has a big mig weld. on hte collectors side you just smooth out the lip on the cast curve.

Never hada problem with any of the ported ones - but they are all done on the later design of manifolds with cast ends.

What sort of improvement in torque and max power would you expect to see on a stage3 S4 running 200cpi cats?

It does look so much better. I think it's going to have to be on my must do list. More COST!

Have you also skimmed the manifold or is it the gasket I can see in the first picture?
