hi everyone

Post by Slick » Wed Dec 26, 2007 1:18 pm

Just wanted to post in this forum and say hi to everyone

I'm on the look out for a B6 saloon in a few months time so have started to do some research into it and already found some good info here.

I'm currently thinking about what spec I want, already decided that I want a dark colour with bose system

I've currently got a S2000 but after 2 years of ownership I need some more power and want the AWD.

cheers,

Vik

Hi Vic

Your getting rid of a good engine there but luckily getting another good one!!
Have to say the bose is superb.
Happy hunting

cheers Dunc :bigwave:

what are audi like for test drives? is it easy to get one for a S4 as would love to see how one is to drive to help make up my mind but sometimes the ones the dealers have for sale are overpriced so wont necessarily be buying from them?

The dealers i went to never had any B6's in so couldn't ask for a test drive. Have heard that the dealers can be a bit funny about test driving their cars but not had any personel experience with this.
Where abouts are you based?

that's what I was thinking as I guess everyone would love to test drive a S4, but I want to for genuine reasons!

I'm based in Manchester.

I think your best bet is give your local dealer a try and then start looiking at private cars. I only test drove one which is the i brought cause i don't like messing private sellers around too much.

yeah I agree, would only test drive a private seller's one if I was close to making an offer on it. Will see what the local dealers have in the new year

just making do with the you tube videos at the moment!! :s4addict:

Did you ever sort out the dealership issues?

Hi Bling,

I had to drive down to the dealership (Perth - Stockport) to sort it out. Bloody clutch wouldnt slip though!!!!!! NIGHTMARE!!! Had her back now for 4 weeks and still not slipping. Is it possible that the clutch material overheats when you try more than a few 0-60 time trials???

Don@t really know. I have never really dumped the clutch when trying 0-60 dashes. I tend to get her rollling first and then push the pedal to the floor
