It only understeers in the hands of an idiot driver who doesn't know how to get the best from a 4WD car.

At least it doesn't oversteer into the path of the oncoming car and kill the innocent occupants of that (shame) as well as you (hooray!) M3Dude!
I'd agree with that. RS4s don't have to understeer if driven properly. If you drive it in the same frame of mind you would a RWD car, then of course it will feel like it understeers a lot. One can induce 4-wheel drifts and take corners at speeds that would make an equivalent RWD car wet itself. What you need to get the best out of an RS4-type car is a rally driver.

The stig is a great driver (whoever he is) but has repeatedly shown he can't get the best out of 4WD cars because he can't change his driving style to suit the car's dynamics.
Current: C7 RS6 - Black, VW Passat CC R36 - Black, Freelander 2 - Black
Sold: 911 C4S (991) - Black, Panamera Turbo ('11) - Carrera White, Nissan GT-R - DMG, B8 S4 - Phantom Black, B7 RS4 - Daytona grey saloon, Noble M400, Golf R32, Evo VIII MR, M3, Cooper S, Civic Type-R, BMW 120D (black), Mazda 6 MPS

Are you suggesting that the Stig is an idiot?

RM3D, for someone who so obviously hates RS4's you spend a huge amount of time on Audi related forums. Go and play on the C63 forums and eulogise about them on there, I don't think many people on here value your input anymore. It's tedious.

Oh, people who enter into arguements rather than debate tend to have a blinkered unshifteble view that the opinion they have is always right which I believe just about sums you up.

I've read all the threads you 'contribute' to and the message is the same irrespective of the facts against you. Unless you have become an motoring authority on the C63 vs M3 vs RS4 my suggestion woud be to keep your opinions to yourself. In fact, why don't you positively contribute to the forum with tips or suggestions on RS4 ownership rather than criticism?

RM3D. What car would you really have out of the 3 cars tested for day-to-day driving, bearing in mind you need space, comfort etc and day-to-day driving conditions, dry, rain, snow, ice, slush, and whats more, a car your wife/partner could drive in any of these conditions?

I have been driving for 17 years and do not, have not and have no intention of ever driving my own car on a track. If I want to go onto a track, I'll take something proper, something meant for the track.

These cars are family cars beefed up. Use them in the environment which they were designed and see which wins, the track test performed by TG simply tells me something I did not need to know. As much as I love TG and the 3 stoodges I just cannot find the reason for the test other than to state the obvious. I fairer test may have been the circuit dry and then wet.

I completely agree with that. Neither of these cars is a good track car. However the RS4 is simply mind numbing to drive. Too boring. M3 is better but still too boring. I think the C63 with it's massive power would be much better. I am also interested to try the IS-F and the new CTS-V. GTR will own them all of course.

Not as Mind numbing as your posts! :drink:

As for the Merc with it's huge power advantage (+40bhp), over sensitive tranction control and AUTO box - yeah, MUST be a much better track car :sleeping_2: :sleeping_2: :sleeping_2:

previously on rs6.com you stated that you had driven the C63 and it was clearly the better car than the RS4 in all aspects, including handling. Now you state you THINK it maybe better.... seriously if you are going to be troll on many different forums at least make sure your lies are the same from forum to forum.

now go play in the freeway child.
