Joshie, I don't think 'cars' and 'make money' should be used in the same sentence

Joshie

Glad you got a good M3 sorted, look forward to seeing you at future BM3W meet (or a RS246 meet of course).

Gareth.
Likewise.

Looking forward to hearing how you 'balance the books' keeping cars for 3 to 6 months. Presemably you make money in the process, particularly on models like the CSL

Surely there would be a premium on the CSL given that it's a limited edition even apart from the waiting list.

I know a couple of people that actually made money from new models - the M3 when is was first launched mad a bob or two for many.

But overall, perhaps not

A few have already been offered at list from cancelled orders so doubt there will be a feeding frenzy but am sure the odd person will try and sell at a premium. With current state of car market not as many people around who are prepared to pay £60K + premium for a 3 Series!!!

John

Agree with some of your thoughts but I think it's a little bit rich to insinuate that the M3 CSL is simply "a 3 series"... Bit more than that really, or is the RS4 just a tarted up VW passat estate?

Only joking

EVO said "BMW snatched defeat from the jaws of victory" referring to the CSL.

Gareth, Fully accept that the RS4 is a top of the range A4 in the same way as an M3CSL is a top of the range 3 Series or am I missing something? Ask 99.9% of the population what it is and guess what the answer will be!!

John

To 99.9% of the population both the RS4 and M3CSL are over priced rich boys willy extensions

To us enthusiasts they are both the puppies undercarriage

Dunc

And your point is?

Haven't read the EVO article yet but prefer to offer my own opinions based on ownership and not a one day thrashing the nuts off a German LHD CSL..

Have to say that EVO is still the best of a bad bunch though. They were going to test my own M3 CSL until the delivery was delayed

So in other words, the majority think they (RS4 & M3) are a boys kn0b, and for those that care think they are a puppy-dogs kn0b....

Hmmm......

So is the importance the size of them or how low to the ground they are

Moving swiftly along - have you picked the CSL up yet, and of so why aren't you out playing with it

Hi John

Collected the CSL this afternoon actually...not all good news though

Have some "issues" with the car that the dealer/BMW GB need to rectify. Would not be fair to say here what they are as I need to give them the chance to put things right.

Suffice say that I'm feeling just a little peeved having laid out £60k and it's not 110%
