Over christmas i have had mice in my garage get into my engine bay and starting chewing my wires and sound proofing gutted.
Car is still running and is in Audi on Friday, insurance have said they would pay thank god.
I will keep you posted on how much cost of repair is.

Bloody hell, this is not uncommon, I was talking to two people over the weekend who has had this happen to them... one had a massive hole eaten into driver seat of his Porsche 997, he said his insurance did not cover 'rodent damage' in the small print...??

I had a mice nest in the boot of my BMW once...so i know how you feel dude, but it was not a wiring loom!

Had the same in my dads place - he collected old cars. Bought some plug in ultrasonic mice repeller thing (from homebase/B&Q/gardening centres) and kept them switched on in the garage - did the trick. No mess and is only about 1p / 3 days to run. (You can't use these if you have hamsters/gerbils)
