They tested four cars in a german magazin:
1. Porsche Boxster
2. BMW 316i
3. VW Golf
4. Can't remember!
So the result was, that all cars had reduced performance with - 1.6%!!!
It said all cars are constucted to "drink" Super Plus with 98ROZ. All the perol over 98ROZ does not make your car faster- it's waste!
So the upshot is: DON'T BUY SHELL V-POWER! and that for 9 cents more the litre!
Cheers

Some of us can adjust our timing to suit the fuel we have . I might get some whilst in Germany.

Quite right. You'll find that many standard cars will get no benefit, but tuned cars will be able to advance timing to suit.

I was talking to a tanker driver the other day and allegedly, the petrol that comes out of the nozzle may not always match the description on the pump if you know what I mean...

Nice one, been thinking about this one for a while, how do we know that we are actually getting 98Ron, it's not on your receipt is it?????????????????????????????
Re: Don't buy Shell V-Power!!!
Oh, I don't think many petrol stations would rip you off deliberately - a lot of the receipts issued to petrol stations by the delivery company just say "x litres unleaded petrol" rather than "x litres unleaded, y litres super unleaded". What happens is that sometimes tankers can't load up at the right bay (bay full, broken, no petrol there etc) so the tanker drivers sometimes just fill up with whatever because they can't be arsed to hang about waiting for the right petrol.
