Oulton Park 8th September - £35

Audi have given the TTOC a day at Oulton Park for the week after next [img]images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

It seems we can't get more than 20 odd TT's going so I've been authroised to offer it to Audi owning friends etc. Sorry it took a while but I needed permission before I did this.

The £35 is broken down as £10 to NSPCC and £25 as 'membership' to the TTOC (all payable on the day). For the whole day at Oulton Park with bugger all cars is a complete bargain [img]images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Most of the day is made up of track newbies but anyone who'd like to come post here and I'll add your details to the list on the TT Forum.

It took a while coming here cos we weren't allowed to cross post it until I got permission from TTOC peeps. Scotty was the man who did all the work so I took a lead from him once he said it was OK too.

Oulton Park is fecking miles away from us (near manchester) but is a blinding track, so we're all staying up ther on Sat night. Join the thread in the TT Forum for details.

And we have to pay?!?!?!? I also notice the post on Tyresmoke says that it is free.

FREE Trackday at Oulton Park 8th September:

"We're therefore hoping to do this for FREE but we may need a minimal charge to cover admin costs etc."

Could someone please clear up why there appears to be a £35 charge on RS246 but not on Tyresmoke, and there is no mention of a £35 charge in the thread on the TTOC (I did a search, don't have time to read all 8 pages, and 4 zillion images!!)..... I have nothing against paying a fee, but I am strongly against the fee uniquely being mentioned on this forum.

I would like to attend, but will not know if it will be possible as I might be in Spain. Can we give short notice and/or turn up on the day?

It is free to TTOC members which is £25 a year to join. As we didn't want people to go through the effort of joining then we just said £25 fee.

The £10 is to NSPCC and everyone pays that.

The reason it wasn't mentioned on other forums is that those posts were (in theory) not authorised by the TTOC but as Scotty is the one who's done all the work......

There was a concern that as most of the TTOC members are track newbies that a load of track regulars turning up would upset them, I've placated that by saying that I'd ensure all the regulars would be good.

Please don't take this post as some kind of anti RS246 issue, in all honesty Scotty was worried we'd upset you Phil cos he was aware that you were asking for a day for RS246 and he didn't want to rub anyones nose in it.

Yes I meant Sunday night, yes you can pay on the day and yes you should be able to just turn up but we need to really know beforehand.

As far as the gift from Audi goes; when Audi contacted me regarding the models, a track day later in the year was also mentioned.
