This is certainly the type of event I would normally attend and have done most of the RS246.com days in the past. I'm in the process of selling my S4 and it was a bit too wet (!) for an open top kit car :)

I agree with the sentiment of December being a poor choice, but appreciate that there may have been good justifications for choosing this date.
Had it been nearer the middle of the year, it would've been something I would seriously consider coming down from Scotland to attend.

You can't really have a Christmas event in June though :)

I can understand why some people stayed away, time of year, very cold and wet etc etc... but I feel thte best way to find the limits of your car IS to drive it in the wet.

You don't have to spin off, have a crash or break the sound barrier to find limits, but when you do find them if you ever get into that same situation on the road your will not onlt know what is happening you should no what to do.

I must say that for the short time I was on track (30 mins) I had a wonderful time, and I could have stayed out even longer if I had decided to back off a little - unfortunatly not my style, but I did enjoy some long controled power slides down the Crainers and though McClanes.

Just have to work on the noise side of things - but keep the flames...

PS Great to see the people who were there - Top blokes...

Would've loved to have been there gents, but as per my thread.. http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... ic&t=66398 the car was off the road and still is. Could be a few mods going on as the engine's out :sekret: so looking forward to the next one

No worries Adam, good luck with that car

There were quite a few similar tales around this event. No matter, it was a good day (if not evening) out, eveyone enjoyed it and boy did the Audi's go well

I think there will be more events :)
