Enjoy the wait... I am 8 months into my wait with 11 months until delivery. Time passes very slowly, just like it says in the R8 advert

Why are they taking so long (ask a stupid question), Are there any ex demos for sale?
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

The problem is that it's a low-volume car, and so the lsit builds a lot quicker than they can supply. It's a pain. There's something about it in the Audi Owner's mag this month. They're hand-picking the most experienced engineers for it, and so forth.

Personally, I'm biding my time. I was told by my local dealership that it'll be 18 months to 2 years waiting. By that time, people will ahve got bored, bought a Gallardo or something, or, indeed, simply be buying the next release of it, which is due out in.. about 2 years time.

I had a letter just last week thanking me for my deposit on the V10 R8, essentially saying that while there is still no intention to produce this much vaunted vehicle, they will keep me informed.

of course they will.... once they get the cooling sorted out (see the nurburgring phots)!!

may even be a V12 TDI as well at some point.

the waiting time may come down when the V10 order book opens for the V8 waiting time.
