I will also be there - don't know which car I will be running as various things are in the pipeline at the mo.
But sure to have something to tear around in..

Have had a res box fitted in the exhaust roughly where the cats were - 4 db's quieter - should therefore be Ok for Sunday.
As the weather looks like rain it will be way under the noise limit.
Looking forward to it as usual.
See you there.

Slightly dismayed at the lack of interest guys, the weather looks appauling, ideal for you quattro drivers, you will have the track to yourselves, actually some of the best days i had was at Donny in the wet in the RS4!
It would be great to see a few more name put on the list, i can understand that the evening meal (on a sunday) may be difficult
Please if you can come let us know ASAP
Cheers

Well we all managed to have a larff and get home without ant incidents. Thanks to all who turned up ans special thanks to PhilT and Simon for letting drive their uberwaggons (makes you really want another) Its fair to say that the RS6+ is a bloody fast cat in a straight line, not much touched it all day! Also i hope DavidT got his rocks off the last few mins in the afternoon
Sorry to Nige for coming all that way and so late in the day only to find we didnt stay for the evening meal. Maybe next year
Chubby managed to get black flagged within 15 mins and still stuck around too!
Anyway lets hope next year will be better attended
Cheers

I got there first (by an hour or so), and forgot my phone.... Thought it was going to be a day on my ownsome, but the troops soon arrived
Wet, but a great day. 35 cars, which quickly became less, so it was an open pit lane which resulted in much fun. The RS6+ stood up really well and even after almost an hour on track, there were no signs of fading.
Thanks to all that turned up, and sorry to Nige, John, and myself who lost the money for the evening event and hotel. Seems that only a small number of people on here are interested in track events and/or get togethers. Ho-hum, such is the Internet and forums. We'll still put a brave face on and organise these things though

Well, I had an absolute blast.
Got there late due to 'Saturday commitments'
and the track was wet.
Had a ride in Simon's B7 RS4 with John driving first, which was excellent. Smooth & fast with no drama. We did not touch any of the buttons
but what a great car it is without any modifications.
Then with Simon in the B7 with some buttons pressed giving more noise etc. Fast and smooth again but with some excellent sideways action. Lovely.
Then I went in Phil's modified RS6+ Blimey, that thing is very, very fast in a straight line and not too shabby on the brakes or in the corners either. I reckon the B7 RS4 is a bit better in braking and cornering but overally, it coped amazingly well. Well driven too
I did think these guys were taking it a bit easy though. I also thought it could not be that slippery, nor could it vary so much from lap to lap. Well how wrong can you be? I was all over the place, arms going like fiddlers elbows. I absolutely loved it
Nice to see you Richard, Gordon, Nige, John, Simon, Phil. I'm looking forward to the next one.

I think a lot of the events that seem to get a good backing by the crew are track events. While we have some hardcore track day drivers here, I think we have a lot of folks that aren't. I personally am not really a track day person. I probably do one with some tuition in each car I own to see what it can do, but not something I practice there after.
I'm sure these days also good to spectate and would like to attend one soon as a spectator, maybe if we made more of the social side of things we would attract more.
Personally I was eye high in boxes preparing to move house but this is a busy time of year for everyone.
Evening dos are good, but a little off putting if you don't know a lot of people. I think the best type of events to draw in numbers are simple meet ups. Group of cars, group of owners, look, see, touch and talk cars and crap. Works best on a sunny day with a BBQ of course, so not best for December.
