Another consideration.....what about intercooling? The power gains from charging could possibly be neutralised by the weight gains of a charger and intercooler?

I've got a mountain bike and was thinking of attaching a Saturn V main rocket engine to it (got a spare in the garage after NASA stopped going to the moon).... anyone know how to do this?

S4TAN...were you thinking of just one main rocket engine or all five - personally I think 3 will be sufficient, and easier, to attach rather than the full 5, and it will leave you with 2 spares. Trigger happy cops may knock on your door when you start ordering the fuel though.

I'm surprised BenH (yes another Harper) hasn't chipped in yet - he was recently looking at plans for making a rocket engine...said he just needed a turbo to complete the kit - I'd better check the garage to make sure those K03s are still in the box...

The youth of today...I don't know...where do they get these crazy ideas from...???! :?

i have plans to harness the power from the Big Bang. i reckon the shockwave from it will have reached the end of the universe by now and will soon be reflected back towards earth. Obviously i've taken into account the disipation of energy due to the length of the journey and time involved but i still beleive there will be ample remaining to provide sustainable energy for my Kenwood Magimix

and as for rocket engines..........

http://www.darwinawards.com/darwin/darwin1995-04.html

but a more factually correct version is here..........

http://www.rocketcarstory.com/

and just for HarperD, some instructions and a video

http://aardvark.co.nz/pjet/gokart.htm

i'll get my coat now i think.........

Not rocket engine Clive, but a turbo-jet engine. No point in those KO3's going to waste, only need the one anyway.
