PAUTER TITANIUM CONNECTING RODS over the Pauter 4340 rods? They are aprox 33% lighter, but are they stronger or just as strong as the 4340?

its weight, they are about same strength as 4340. to get stronger you'd need carbon fibre rods :))

I think they are about £6000.... :ban:
S4 - no longer missing 1 engine. Last seen leaving trailing black lines of gearbox oil.

rods...

Post by satanschild » Sat Dec 01, 2007 1:29 pm

there is one simple rule with rods (you get what you pay for)....
our carrilo rods were chosen for the matter that no one made an off the shelf set of rods capable to do what we needed..

so most rods that can cope with big hp and torque are custom.. and this means big money..
our rods have been made to handle 1500bhp and to rev to 10,000rpm

please dont buy cheap rods if your looking to run big bhp
i have 2 blocks sat here with holes in the top of the casings due to rod failure of cheap rods.....

eagle also make double forged rods "wich is what ozz "s4 killer" from poland is now running... again big ££££££

the powter rods are worth every penny if your looking to run a serious car on the drag strip as are many others if your willing to pay for good quality...

hope this helps... 8)
