That was the reason offered. My personal theory is it didn't. You were second on. The B7 RS4 was first on and was wriggling all over the place and unsurprisingly got a bad result (because of the dyno not becuse it's a B7!). I think we then had Woody's M5.VARSITY wrote:I hear that the 300C tore the rollers up!
Note to self, must buy something that pulls them apart next time!!
Then I think we had Chris' B5 S4. Again, all over the place on the dyno with very low numbers. Mihnea I think voiced his thoughts as I am sure a few others did.
This is when after some scratching of heads the alignment was checked on the dyno and I think the rear rollers were out a few mm one side compared to the other. After this, cars were running fine, sitting as expected, no movement and good numbers.
I personally suspect it has been a while since anything four wheel drive was on that dyno. As they specialise in Vauxhalls and BMW, maybe no surprise there.
I think the dyno was out of alignment when we arived, but with cars only driving one axel it wasn't evident.
Anyway, that's my theory.
