The two graphs I have are 261.7 hp I assume at wheels and 323.2 hp reclaculated to the flyweel

I, of course, meant 330.5 @ wheels and 425 @ fly-wheel.Jarv wrote:My results:
425 @ wheels
330.5 @ flywheel
542 FtLb's torque
3.46 FATS
Cheers Doug, very interesting. So by that rationale, the difference on the road between a car with SMIC's and an FMIC would be around 20, maybe 25 deg, which would make a difference, but not much. I still want one though, and I'm not affraid of chopping.Doug_S2 wrote:the correction temperature on the dyno is the air temperature - not the intake temperature.
I did a test with 2 similar tuned S4s - one with FMIC and one with stock s4 SMIC - running the same file - the differnece was 370bhp to 440bhp and intakes were 100+ deg c and 30 deg c (IIRC - there is a post on here) Side By side on teh road there was hardly anything - and intake temps on the car with stock ics wera round 50 deg c max)
This is what I understand too Mike - in real-world terms there probably wouldn't be that much difference between me and Adam - he'd have the edge but by a car length maybe. I suppose the FATS runs bear that out - 0.12 of a second difference is what, a car length at that speed???So by that rationale, the difference on the road between a car with SMIC's and an FMIC would be around 20, maybe 25 deg, which would make a difference, but not much.
once i moved the car all was fine..ChrisS2, H8CAK and my car all suffered from being unable to lock and unlock using the remote, it's working fine again now so very strange.
That's funny, I noticed Ad's FATS time too and compared it to mine. He's showing as 28 more brake but 60 FtLb's less torque, and that shows in a FATS time difference of 3.46 for me against 3.66 for Ad (I'm assuming that an S4 is also slightly less lardy than an RS4 as well).S4TAN wrote:This is what I understand too Mike - in real-world terms there probably wouldn't be that much difference between me and Adam - he'd have the edge but by a car length maybe.
