Any idea on standard factory settings for the camber and toe ?
Prior to damaging my front left alloy (very slightly) the car was perfect and would track straight. Following wheel alignment and adjustment its beginning to track left. I know there was +4mm toe in on the rear with about 1.5 mm toe in on the front.
Castor is higher on the right 4.65 as compared to the left 4.30 which is factory set, so the car will naturally move slightly to the left.
However, the tec explained he would either have to significantly increase the toe in on the front and risk premature wear for it too steer straight, or change the camber settings from factory set which on the RS4 is a bigger job to be done. What I'm confused about, is prior to damaging the front left which was just rubbing the alloy at 5km/hr it tracked perfect however there was increased toe in on the rear (factory) to allow this.
Should the teco redo the alignment to what was previously on the car which is to change the toe in on the rear and front or consider adjusting the camber settings ?

Just had my April'07 RS4 checked out on new 'camera alignment' system at Revolution 24/7's new premises in Gateshead (a looong way from Townsville!) - amazingly accurate. Not worth altering mine as close enough to manufacturer's spec which is just as well coz I peeked underneath whilst it was up on the ramp and it looked like it would be a nightmare to adjust! pm me your e mail and I'll forward the spec.
