RS4 Challenge 2003 Whos coming

Does it work for UK callers ?

Note : I'm trying to get the number for a group of RS4-RS6 french owners who'd love to join this year.

I just talked on the phone with Oliver Straube (head of marketing at quattro GmbH if I recall correctly), very nice and helpful.

Here's the latest details :

- two pools of 30 cars each as last year, RS4 and RS6 will drive together.

- entries are therefore limited, 250 invitations have been sent, only 20 entries remains so anyone interested should hurry

- the event will start on Friday with demos and technological forums, race will be on Saturday

- Driver's fee is € 290, which includes one hotel night and a diner on friday evening with all participants, plus usual food and warm drinks on the track.

- Passenger guest's fee of 150€ seems mandatory this year and will include the above, guests must be 16 years old.

If anyone (ie not joining through RS246.com) wants to receive by email the package for subscription to the event, pm me and I will give you both Mr Straube direct phone and his email at Audi.de.

I'm a bit miffed about the way this has been handled by GmbH.... They send us a leaflet in freekin' German, and the next thing we know, there are only 20 places left. I'm up for going, but want to have a word with Oliver before to see if we can visit the factory. Taipan, can you send me the contact details you have please.

Phil and JR, you have a pm.
But I must say for Mr Straube that he immediatly mentionned -and apologised- on the phone that the document was in German only as it's traditionnaly an event for German owners (ie a max of 60 openings for 250 invitations), although (1) they'd be very happy to have more int'l owners and (2) the documents for subscription should be easy enough to fill for a non-english speaker and (3) anyone who needs help can contact him directly by phone or email.
I guess the lack of english version shows they're like everyone : understaffed [img]images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
