STOLEN: OY04 BPK
Please keep a look out for a 2004 Audi allroad 2.7bi-turbo. It is silver with grey roof, arches and bumpers. It has a Chelmsford Audi and RS246 stickers in the rear window. Stolen off my drive in SE London/NW Kent.
The house was broken into during yesterday afternoon, while the wife was out with the kids and I was at work.
After smashing a downstairs toilet window they had a good rifle though most cupboards and draws, found the car keys and the spare keys and picked up the laptop and it's accessories (bag, lap stand etc) on their way out.
Police have said chances are they have been watching the place for a little while and only got in for the car, picking up the laptop and accessories was a bonus for them.
They knew what they were doing as no fingerprints were left anywhere.
Likelyhood it is either now on a boat out of the country (our local plod retrieved a car from Poland recently) or being used for a job or police baiting if it is particularly quick.
Bet they don't know about the brand new AWE DTS I'd just fitted!
Phil/David/Crew - I would really appreciate if you could put this post as a sticky for a couple of weeks.
Cheers,
John

It's been over 5 weeks now and the latest from the police is they did arrest someone for the crime but were unable to find any evidence and unless they do recover the car are unlikely to obtain any evidence.
After this amount of time the lieklyhood of the car being recovered, especially in one piece, is very small.
Now I am fighting the insurance company for the pitiful amount they have offered...

A brief update.
The car was recovered by Herts police on 21/12/07 but due to some breakdown in communication between the police forces I only found out 2 days ago. Car was parked on the street, locked, complete and with false plates on.
Supposedly it only has paintwork damage but I am yet to see the car myself or see what the mileage is now.
Don't like the idea of taking it back if it has done several thousand miles at 7000 revs.

Saw the car yesterday from behind a glass wall at the police compound, while delivering a new key. I wasn't allowed near the car until the forensics have finished with it.
Condition wise it doesn't look bad. A bit of paintwork for some scratches but otherwise no bodywork damage.
I looked up the details of the false registration plates that were on the car. The tea leafs aren't stupid. The plates were for a 2002 A6 2.7T quattro sport avant. Near enough to my car. It's not like they were off a mini or similar.

Hi Grizz,
Yes, the car is now at the repairers of my choice and I had a good look over it Friday. It doesn't look bad at all. It has done less than 200 miles out of my possesion (it was found 60 miles away).
It is going to need some paintwork for scratches, all the wheels refurbed, and some bits replacing like the first aid kit, tool kit, locking wheel nut key - which means the whole set will need replacing and obviously a new set of locks as all the keys where nicked.
I am planning on having some more of the car painted (bumpers and wheel arches) while it's there.

TBB more like the RS4 one... No idea what age car it came in on or how good it is though!QuantumJohn wrote:Thanks Mark for your help in making it a sticky.
As far as I remember the bi-pipe is the same as my old S4 one was. Or do you know something different...?
