Posible tyre group buy.

Post by pippyrips » Wed Nov 07, 2007 10:25 am

Right chaps,

I will be needing new boots all-round for the RS shortly so am in the process of ringing round and getting the best prices.

The 3 tyres I am particularly interested in are the following:

• CONTINENTAL CONTI-SPORTCONTACT 3 XL
• MICHELIN PILOT SPORT PS 2 XL
• VREDESTEIN ULTRAC SESSANTA

In order to keep things simple i am looking for 255/35/19 only. After talking to a few suppliers, some (unsurprisingly!) are willing to offer discounts on bulk orders.

Are any of you interested in getting a set of any of the above? I’m only checking on numbers at present to see if this is worthwhile pursuing but I did something previously on another forum which got all involved a tidy discount.

If you are interested can you put post below along with your tyre preference by COP today and I will see what we can get.

Cheers.

Can you read the terms in the group buy forum and post your GB in there once approved please ?

We introduced the GB forum and its rules to protect everyone involved in GB's after one went bad last year.

No worries, we appreciate the value of GB's and the people who organise them  It should not prevent or even slow yours down, its just a baseline to ensure everyone knows what they are putting in & getting out :)

David, just read the terms and all seem fair enough. As i am only seingif demand if there at present i am unable to confirm suppliers. Once i get an idea on numbers i will then go looking for the right price/supplier.

I'm assuming this is ok?

In the meantime i have reposted in the GB section.

Many thanks.

Chaps,

For ease of use (and to comply with GB rules) please can you add any further posts to this thread:

http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... ic&t=65720

Thanks

p.s.

Results from Evo Magazine's tyre test can be found here:

http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2007-evo-tyre-test.

I have already been quoted a figure of £140 per corner delivered for the VEREDESTEIN ULTRAC SESSANTA assuming we can get 5 sets. That is £560 delivered to your door for the 2nd best tyre in the Evo test!

Anymore for anymore?

If so please add onto the post running in the GB forum. For those who have already put their names forward please see my question re: Verdestein's in the GB forum thread.
