DTC 00856

Took out nav unit , when replaced radio tuner does not work. VAGCOM came up with the following code
00856 antenna short to ground. I have checked the connections on the back and they all look ok and in the right places , Any ideas what it could be?

took out the nav unit to get to the airbag controller. Once everything was back in the radio tuner does not pick up any stations. When scanned using vagcom the above code appeared.

Ok, under these circumstances I stay with what the WIKI says. Either you did not reconnect the antenna correctly to the nav or at some point you created a wiring problem related to the antenna. I'd suggest take it out again and unplug it and plug it back in. If that doesn't help check continuity of the antenna wire up to the antenna itself...
