"Also if anyone on here bought my Black RS4 Avant from Leeds Audi, MJ07 *** hope you are enjoying it"

I think that may be me. It was being driven from Leeds to Sytner High Wycombe today and I pick it up on Wednesday.

I very nearly bought a 535d m sport with all the toys, spec made it about 53k although unlike the RS4 there was a disscount of about 7.5k off that. It's an amzing car and is very fast with the DMS upgrade, my wife has the same engine in her X3 with the DMS upgrade and I have to say it's a monster of an engine. If I did more miles i'd have gone for it but as i'm doing under 10k pa I thought i'd give the RS4 a go. to be honest just pressing that starter button and hearing the noise makes me feel i made the right choice!

I'm sure you will enjoy the 535d though.

good luck

Jim

I had a red 4.6is X5 in Imola Red. It looked good but when I wanted to sell it for a 4.8is did I have problems trying to get rid of it. I was being bid £3-5k under normal trade in prices until Gareth came to the rescue.

Right....FWIW that sort of "protection" is a total waste of time/money really. You would be far better off getting a decent detailer to look after the car than spend money on such dealer supplied products.

(and keep it out of the sun at all times too  )

X5 4.8is was one of the nicest cars I have owned. Sounded even better than the RS4. Strangely enough I always thought my 4.6is was faster and had more torque lower down however I only covered about 7,000 miles in the 4.8is so not even run in. It had a real smooth ride due to the air suspension but again I didn't think it handle as well as the 4.6is. DoctorD on here (Steve) had real problems with his air suspension so make sure if you do buy one that this isn't playing up. It was very juicy, if you took it easy around 20 mpg on average, but if you put your foot down not much more than 15 mpg. They are quite cheap to buy now, I paid £63k for mine new and it lost nearly 20k in a year so that was about £3 a mile just in depreciation. Don't you just love motoring!!
