decaying WR quattro

Post by quattrokid1 » Tue Oct 23, 2007 6:08 pm

My WR is in a right mess underneath :http://good-times.webshots.com/album/561067823EGVylJ

I have been advised to get rid of the car for spares because at the moment I simply just cannot face losing it.

Does anyone know of anyone able to replace or refabricate a new floorpan(?) if needed and new sills, jacking points and possibly a bit of the A frame at the bottom of the drivers side wing?

I wont be doing anything this year if I keep it but I woudnt mind a KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOUR telling me they know of someone who can repair the corrosion.

From what I have been told so far it can be repaired by someone who knows what they are doing.

AH! Mr Galvin no less!!

Problem is as always is that all these specialists live down south AGAIN!!

We need to bring ship building back to the Clyde.... so we can pop in and use their metal fabrication expertise:)

Rich, John Mc Aleese in Troon will do the work, his work is out of this world, not cheap but it will return looking better than new if you can afford him.

removed the interior and the boot lining this morning apart from the front carpet section, cant get that out for now. The floor looks sound so the majority of the corrosion is contained in the sills and require new lifting points still available from Audi I believe. the left hand side sill isnt unfortunately so I assume that purchasing these panels will be much cheaper than having fabricated ones made up.
