Is the turbo fairy about to call !!

Post by Nodds » Thu Oct 25, 2007 2:59 pm

Went away for a weeks break 200miles of faultless driving from the s4. The next morning on startup a few puffs of blue smoke (its not the condisation white colour) so decided as other transport was availible to leave it. Tried it the next day and just a small amount of smoke and let it run for 15 mins. Didn't try it again untill the drive back today and no smoke at all, and a faultlesss drive back.

Is this the start of the end of the K03's or possibly something else ?

Thanks

Hard to say but the sudden cold weather won't be helping cold running.

wait and see, not like worrying about it will prevent it happening.

The turbo fairy is relentless these days.

Shes also a mistress of disguise.

Beware for the turbo fairy is lurking.

Its probably better not to mention her name.

Hope she doesn't strike. :)

I bought my car with 70k on the clock, when I bought it, if it had been sitting for a while and it was fairly cold it would give out a small blue puff of smoke.

Now at 101k it still does it and I am on the same orginal turbos.... dont think you should worry... just dont boot it until you have oil temp gauge movement.... its only sensible...

at 100k I would expect my oil seals in the turbos to not be what they used to!

The Turbo fairy is coming!

I quickly made this up earlier from a few images.

Id like to change it to an avatar. Can anyone convert this so I can use as an Avatar.

Thanks

Hope you like it:

And by convert it, I assume you mean shrink it and save it onto a photo hosting website!

She looks more like the Turbo Pixie though.

Cool. Thanks mate.

Youre right. More of a pixie than a fairy. I new I should have used the other fairy pic.

I think youre ones a lot better Dave. At least the pic of the turbo is clear and you can make it out when its avatar size.

Thanks again.
