Audi Driver International Day- 13 October @ Castle Combe
I ended up getting there for 7.30.. signed in and had b'fast no problem
Great day, I ducked out of the afternoon after finishing two sessions early with tyre concerns... Good fast track, bit bumpy in places and not much run off!

Great day out out guys
Thanks to derdle for the loan of the seat belt thing. Might have to get me one of them. Thanks to Adam for running around looking for me to loan me one, even though I was sorted!
Really enjoyed it, better turn out to last year! better weather than last year!
Looking forward to the next meet... Rolling Road Day on the 17th Nov @ Thorney Motorsport

It was a really great day guys...pleased the weather remained dry and the mist cleared pretty quick. Thanks for the laps and the coaching jeff, turned in some pretty good laps in the end!!
Well done to all who turned up and ran...nice track but as Jason said the lack of run off is a bit daunting!!
Looking forward to Thorney's! (The wife WON'T be there then Phil I promise

Exactly what I said on the way home. I have two track sessions left over. Havings said that, I had to come in early on my 4th session because I was running out of fuel. Now that would have been embarrasing. I need to make a few mental notes for next year!jeffw wrote:Good day, nice to catch up with folks....afternoon was really busy on track, next time I'll get more of my sessions done in the morning I think.

Definitely the way to do it. I did three in the morning and only got 2 in in the afternoon leaving an unused ticket. Queued for thirty mins in the afternoon and went straight back to queue for nearly 40 mins so couldn't get my last session in. The morning was so quiet in comparrison.Jarv wrote:Exactly what I said on the way home. I have two track sessions left over. Glad, I did what I did, I had great sessions in the morning, in one of them there only seemed to be three of us that went out on the lights, not sure if anyone followed on later, by which time I did not see another car the whole time I was outjeffw wrote:Good day, nice to catch up with folks....afternoon was really busy on track, next time I'll get more of my sessions done in the morning I think.

A great trip down to Combe's with Tom in his S4 in close pursuit (nice meeting you Tom).
The trip culminated when we were joined by a silver S4 Cab, before we saw (or should I say HEARD) Kim Collings in his S.Blue S4 Cab along with his mates I.Yellow B5 RS4.
My fuel consumption was pretty good until this point.....
Also good to meet Phil & Simon on the stand - (thanx to Simon for taking my daughter round the track in his car - she says you didn't need to go so slow though
)
Excellent day and well worth the trip.

So did we win an award? Nothing on the Autometrix website yet...
