Just had car serviced at Audi dealer, seems they are using Mobil1, but right spec compared to the Castrol Edge I've been using for 'top ups'

opiel man also reccomends castrol edge 5w-30, conforms to vw 504 and 507 00 specs. Might be worth looking into.

Any top ups between services is usually supplied at no cost, however this is VERY dependent on the dealership and the relationship you have with the service manager. I've had no problems with the dealership providing this after sales service.
VW oil reccomendations now state that it must comply with 504 00 & 507 00 std. To my understanding the titan GT1, castrol edge 5W-30 and also on the castrol website, they are reccomending SLX professional powerflow longlife 3. Again whats your preference ? They all will be suitable. If you drive the car HARD then change the oil on a more regular basis.
Cheers :P
