I take it by this you mean until your turbo failed.

It might be worth adding whether it was chipped or not. as well as model year.

I'm at 57K miles with a 97 model S4 - I hope turbo replacement isn't immanent.

That was the information that i was planning on gathering but i found out that it was only possible to put one poll in each message.

Does anyone know another way of getting all of that information together?

They did a poll like this in the US. The results were not conclusive.

Before I bought my S4 I researched the turbo failure issue a lot and these are my conclusions:

1) Turbos will eventually fail
2) Chipped cars are statistically likely to suffer turbo failure quicker
3) Pre-2001 S4s are more likely to have turbo failure than 2001/2 models
4) Using semi-synthetic oil is a bad idea
5) Cars with drivers who don't observe warm-up and cool-down times (especially warm-up) are more likely to suffer turbo failure
