RS6 custom build Hi Flow Cat systems
RS6 custom build Hi Flow Cat systems
Just been quoted by a company I have used before for full stainless system (downpipe back) with hi flow cats and fitting and VAT for £1100 is this a good price. This is a custom build where they tailor eacj system to the car
I'm wondering (if this is a good price) whether people would be interested in a group buy or reduction with pre orders
the company are Blue Flame based in the North West with easy motorway access.
I dont know much about exhausts so how much are the often mentioned MTM?

I got the pre cats gutted, high flow 100 cell cats and new flexi hoses for £500 (in central London)

What difference does that make (in performance and sound).allblack wrote:I got the pre cats gutted, high flow 100 cell cats and new flexi hoses for £500 (in central London)
Also, does the car pass MOT like that?
RE: Re: RE: RS6 custom build Hi Flow Cat systems
There is not a major increase in noise from inside the car - in fact hardly noticeable. From outside there is more noise but not loud. I had a full Milltek on my Stage 3 RS4 and it was a nightmare!
The turbos do spool quicker with the lack of back pressure and it feels quicker - probably not as much a performance increase as the full Milltek system but a lot more stealth for a lot less money!
The car went through a full MOT a week later with no issues - lambada sensors went into the new cats without throwing any errors either.

Grizz mate .... do sports cats (100 cell) in general not last very long ? And these ones you can get, what make are they and how much for fitting them ?
RE: Re: RS6 custom build Hi Flow Cat systems
There are so any types of sports cat on the market , most cheap ones are rubbish , I'll get a price on some good ones . I've got a spare set of rs6 d/pipes , i can gut the pre-cats and get some sports cats if you want .
