How do you read the forum ?

Post by DavidT » Fri Sep 28, 2007 5:47 pm

We are wondering because it seems people often only look in the forum for their model.

If I've missed an option post please and I'll add it.

I view posts since last visit. Sometimes this doesn't work properly so I miss some things.

Looking forward to the new forum version with a search for posts in the last 24, 48, etc
Mark

Posts since last visit for me too.

But as Mark says, it doesn't always work properly and if it's been a while since I've visited then the list will often disappear after viewing a few new posts.

So I then go into my favourites and see what's been going on.

I go directly to my model forum, and check to see if the new posts look interesting, and if so, then read them. After that, I read the General and Registered User areas i nthe same way. Since I do so a couple of times a day, there's usually only a few posts to read each time - it doesn't take long.

If I were to make use of RSS, then I'd probably use the feeds for the same areas.

Definately want an option to view posts for the last 4, 12, 24 & 48 hours, as this will solve the current cookie problem (well, get around it anyway).

Phil, which google link do you need to minimise on the left to solve the cookie problem please ?

It will always work for 'view posts since last visit' then :)

Based on the fact that most never visit the links, I suggest you minimise them all by clicking the minus sign next to the name.

Always browse the Rs4, S4, off topic, general, classifieds, spotters, and sometimes browse the others.
