Do i go for the RS4 look ??

Post by AdamS4 » Wed Sep 26, 2007 7:59 am

I've just purchased a RS4 front bumper 8)

I have the chance to get rest as well (Side skirts, front wings, rear doors, rear wings and rear bumper) but wondering if its worth it...

Shall i just stick with the RS4 front bumper ??

It's all down to personal taste and how much you want to spend but I'd do the lot or nothing.

I think a RS4 front bumper looks good on a post facelift S4.

If you are going to mod the car excessively, why not get an RS4 in the first place? It may cost more initially, but you are likely to get more of your money back when you move on, effectively making the whole thing a cheaper exercise.
2000 B5 S4 facelift, sadly missed...enjoying the 2005 A2 TDi Special Edition though!

Adam, seriously dude not worth the money. If you had a saloon I would have said "go for it". But with an Avant I'd recommend you just go and get yourself an RS4 instead.

As for just the RS4 bumper... I think it looks good from certain angles... but from other angles the look is spoilt by the fact that there aren't any side skirts to complement the style of the bumper. Why not go for the modded S4 bumper? A few guys on here have done em. There are a fair few photoshopped images around as well as images of the numeerous options available with this mod :)

Alps, can you provide a link at a modded S4 bumper either on or off forum? I've never even heard of that before.

Didn't notice Adam has an Avant. As Alps says, if you like the Avant get a real RS4

I think i'm just going to stick with the RS4 front bumper.

I would like the RS4 look the rear arches are going to require a lot of work.

With regards to total price of parts for the RS4 conversion....

Front bumper - 140
Rear bumper - 200
Front wings - 200
Rear arches - 100
Side Skirts - 100

Total - 600

Thats just for parts.... Probably looking about about 1000 - 1500 for paint and labour to fit it all.

I would love a RS4 but theres a big difference in price. S4 ~ 9000 quid...... RS4 ~ 20000 quid.

You've missed that you also need the rear doors and either weld up repair the front doors or replace them as well.
