Hearing how you seem to be having a love affair with them I must go and see what they are like for owners of slightly older, lower value cars...

Watch this space...

;)

Seriously, take a wonder down there, speak to Robert and say you're from RS246. (Mention Adam as well ;) )

Don't be looking at Dave's (Daveperc) bird while he's away though ;)

(You'll know who i mean when you get there, unless she's on lunch :D )

A little wobble - but back on track

Post by Daveperc » Fri Sep 21, 2007 10:16 am

Tney nearly lost my vote this morning....

Last service picked up that front discs/pads needed soon so I checked disc costs with them and said I'd run the car till the warning lights came on - which they did last week.

Meanwhile checked out on ebay (dealer dsgwagen) and could get discs substantially cheaper. Called Camberley - yes they would fit as long as they were genuine Audi parts. Took car in this morning - and then got call "Can't fit - not from an 'Authorised dealer'!" :audibash:

Checked dsgwagen, and they are an authorised Volkeswagon dealer..... Called Camberley back, relayed message (and dealer number etc) and also mentioned RS246, and this thread! :bash:

To cut a long story short -
- Camberley agreed to fit
- Camberley agreed to put me on a loyalty scheme with discount on parts and labour for the future! :)

Needed a little pressure - but once again Camberley Audi come up trumps. Well done Rob and the boys... not to mention the beautiful Michelle

A post-script to the one above. Got the car back all done fine.... but they've picked up that the dreaded DRC failure has struck again - or at least two dampers are leaking. Have to say I drove back from Wales on Wed very quickly and didn't notice any handling problems at all so I think they've picked it up very early.

Oh well, at least I get to chat to Michelle again next week :bigblink:
