Terrible news, I can’t begin to imagine what the poor families of the deceased must be going through right now. My thoughts are with them .

Just had the sad news confirmed by my friend that Colin is dead, my mate was close friends of the McRae family. Colin McRae R.I.P.

another fine sportsman lost to a helicopter crash, remember Steve Hislop the bike racer who died a few years back in similar circumstances

What a great loss , 1st we lost Richard burns and now Colin ,2 of our best rally drivers. A SAD SAD DAY .

and although not on the world stage but still a very good rally driver, the Fisher family that were killed a few years back, also in a hilicopter.

I knew the family well from my rally days both here and the rally heaven that is Ireland.
