How long i have been on the forum has absolutely nothing to do with it.. If people need a forum poll to make their mind's wether or not it is a right or wrong thing to do then we really all are knackered!

Hey, your the one who admited in your 1st post that you have a well hidden switch just in case you need to turn it off for some occasion..What occasion would that be then?? You know it is wrong to do yet you still do it.. No back pedalling now my friend just to make your self look squeeky.

I have absolutely no problem with in-car entertainment but when a DRIVER puts themselves in a position where they can visibly see a TV screen then you are asking for trouble. No matter how much you think you can resist taking a peek there's going to be a time when your brain stops working and you take a look, it's called human nature. Say for instance a live news flash comes on while listening to the radio which has devastating consequences to the world (which we have had a few of recently), you are not going to instantly turn your attention the the face of the stereo unit to listen to it now are you? TV on the other hand is both a visual and audial input and as such there are certain things that both the eye and ear has to see and hear together to interpret the full picture, those who can't see or hear fully are given signing and talk overs for this very reason. I hear you say 'Sat Nav' blah, blah, blah. Yes, but the sat nav is always blurring out the same and not something that is going to distracte you at a moments notice unlike the TV does with it randomness of who snoggin who in BB and about the cat being ran over in corrie, (not unless you have a dicky sat nav of course that tells you its going to self destruct in 10 seconds and smoke starts billowing out of it...)
BTW, I fully agree that the sat nav unit in the rs4 is in a totally wank position (not that I had it in mine thankyou).
I think you will find that those that know me personally on this board (thats quite a few btw), will know how seriously I take my driving yet how I also like to have alot of fun at the same time. I dont often spout off on 1 with all the name calling etc. (have i ever done it?) but when a subject like this comes up it which is so blantly stupid that it denies all belief yet your all talking about it like it is the done thing and how easy it is to do , I cannot but help myself, Im sorry.
FYI the 'millions' thing was a piss take to Dave because all he could genuinly argue back with was my spelling and that he wouldn't give me a job!! LOL..
I personally believe that being a good driver on the public roads needs very little skill behind the wheel (by that I mean how well you can pedal a car). No, what it requires is somethng a whole lot more. It requires constant attention, good spacial awareness with good observational skills and the abilty to interpret what you have obsevered and act upon it. Certainly not the last ( i cant be arsed to go on too much to what will be deaf ears) it requires certain amount of self responsibilty for you, you passengers, other road users, the general public. Im sure most of you are with me on that...
Tv and driver just doesnt mix it with me and I can guarentee the law will back me up everytime. As for comparing it to speeding offences...Phhhh.. get real!!
Certainly if some of you noobs can be bothered to look back at my posts from the past 4 yrs or more you will generally find I have tried to as helpful as I can with hard facts and little of the bullshit you can get. Phils old moto- 'Quality not Quantity'.

Correct, but if you do crash into me while youv'e got your head buried in the TV screen then prepare to get leathered with the headrest I have just removed from my car which will aslo have a new TV screen imbedded in there when it goes back in!
