Post by yiponwah » Sat Sep 08, 2007 12:39 am

hi guys,

I wondering if anyone on this forum change there headunit on therir rs4 to an aftermarket unit, I have changed it got some issue. Cant find a proper working can bus adaptor for 2007 rs4 and quadlock adaptor for the bose speakers. Just wondering if anyone know about about these things. Im getting a whine from back speaker. so need to do some work to fix that and my navi screem doesnt auto dim when the lights on as i cant get a illumation 12V due to that rs4 runs on a can bus.

The Naviplus unit is not the best unit to have, after getting used to a touch screen navi and plus the ipod connection menu, is the worst as it runs like a changer, i have over 2000 songs on my ipod, how the heck im going to search for the songs i want to listen, and also i dont like the idea have DVD base as the navi, why didnt they design it as a hard drive which will free up the cd slot.

The RNS-E is not the best head unit going, and the IPod option is sh!te. But on the other hand it's not bad either Radio, NAV, MP3, Telephone/TV/AV integration, and it links into all cluster and MFSW. I'm currently looking into fitting the A6/A8 MMI system into the A4.
