Post by 55JWB » Thu Sep 06, 2007 9:28 pm

Dave Cambell (Jac-in-a-box)

Did me today... totally stunning results 8) I was desperate to get this done as I bought the car 2nd hand and it had not been washed very well previously and was full of swirls... in this pic its hard to believe the car is actually black! :)

Have known Dave for a few years, he is big on the TT forum, Piston Heads, and Boxter forums... He is from Dundee and is "on tour" doing TT's at the moment... uses all sorts to prep, but the finish is Swissol "Best of Show" wax 8)

He spent 10.5 hours doing inside and out on my car today and it cost me £220

That's not too bad a price for that amount of work. Very impressive results!

Very tidy

You can't be paid to do that sort of work IMO.

Getting mine done hopefully in 2 weeks. A guy I know did my STI before and spent about 12 hours on her as she had ton's of swirls - left her like brand new so he did, no better than brand new. £100, and there was 2 of them at her!

The people I work with think I am mental paying someone £200+ to "wash my car" I got the "there are guys in Asda's carpark that will do it for £10"

I can keep on top of it now, I really needed the fine marks removing before I got into my own waxing routine...

Lets hope I dont go 'kissing' any Armco over the weekend

Why so people blank out their number plates, what are they trying to hide? Please explain?

Don't know if it happens in Oz but over here in GB car number plates are often clonned. They use your number plate and put it on an identical looking car. The first you know about it is when you get a visit from the police accussing you that your car was used as the getaway in a bank robbery or a nice summons in the post saying a speed camera has clocked you at 150 mph in a 30 mph limit. Not much fun trying to explain it wasn't you.
