This blower issue seems to be a strange one. Some have it worse than others and I don't think it's down to individuals' perception.
The demo I had for an afternoon was quite bad, making a right old racket at motorway speeds.
However, the car I eventually got seems much better, although still a bit noisy compared with some other marques.
I seem to remember something about a "comfort" setting using VAGCOM, but I may have dreamt it!

I took it back to my supplying dealer and we found a way of improving it. They replaced the pollen filter with a carbon filter which is more restrictive and slows down the intake of air, now its still not as quiet as my other cars but no longer blowing a gale. Apparently they were aware of it as a problem and have wondered why Audi doesn't just recall other RS4s to improve.

Now it's much better, but I still have several other issues including the drivers seat that needs re-skinned due to the leather being torn (on a new car) and I noticed this evening that the RS4 badge is missing on the rear, so that will need sorted too. I get a replacement Audi S5 whilst mine is in repair for 3 days, which is not something I envisaged less than 1 week into ownership.

I can't say I'm enjoying RS4 ownership thus far, but hopefully I've uncovered all the problems and it gets better from here onwards...

Poor show from the dealers not spoting these things on PDI and corecting BEFORE you took it.

I'm not stalking you Chris honestly, but have you moved house? I hadn't seen you car at Earls Court for a long time!

Lol, yeah I moved out of there back in March. Living out in the countryside now so I get a decent run into work everyday. I always thought that last flat was a little 'exposed', the S3 was almost on display there.

Yeah, no big dramas with the mileage, mine had 61 km, quattro drive them around and check them before release.
