Open circuit front speakers ?!?!

Post by lengster1 » Tue Sep 04, 2007 10:16 pm

Does this mean theyre cream crackered (which i think they may be) or is the phone kit incorectly wired in to the front speakers?Or is vagcom just picking up the fact that they are running through the parrot phone kit?Im a little concerned the positive and negative may be the wrong way around on the phone kit install what do you think guys?

The phone kit shouldn't be wired to the speakers at all! The output of the phone kit should be fed to the phone input of the OE radio or sat nav.

Basically agree with Dave, it should not be wired to the speakers directly but to the radio phone-in line. However, if you wired it directly to the speakers I'd suggest to ignore the code, unless your speakers do not work (easily individually to check with an output test).
