Dam, I am thinking my 1.9 bar RS6/KO4's are not any good anymore!!!
Pistons and gaskets. It's not just to run silly boost levels but I want to run these levels with decent timing.

Checked vag and the timing hasn't been pulled back yet, which is awesome news. ;-)

Doug,

Off boost the car is still enjoyable to drive around town. Funny thing is that these turbos give you around 3 psi at 2300 and 6 psi at 3500, which helps counteract the low CR. I'm very chuffed because I was expecting nothing and I'm pleased it still has guts.

Power delivery is also smooth not in your face like the S2/RS2 cars. I guess thats the beauty of a twin turbo.

The boost starts building rapidly from 4200 with hitting 1.8Bar at 4600 and silly boost at around 5100.

Also the spool up once it runs properly with more advanced timing will improve.

It's all been bollox people telling me the car becomes undriveable. It ain't!

I think its spot on. For me anyways... after all I'll be flying ...uups driving it. *LOL*

Dave

P.S. And for the winter project I still have a NOS system and water injection to add. NOS can be programed to help the spool-up just in case you want to get wild from low revs on.

Sounds mental... I assume the rods have been uprated to take a punishing? What are standard RS4 rods good for? 650ish?

I would love to stand next to that thing as it spools and comes fully on boost with an RS Fab exhaust!

Engine should be good for 900hp and 8500rpm.

The power will probably tail off around 8200-8500 RPM. This means I haven't lost much of the usable rev range either.

RS4 with K04s 7200-3500 = 3700
RS4 with K16s 8200-4600 = 3600

So the power just shifted up the rev counter.

How do k16 compare to rs6 turbos? I guess they are bigger. How was the fit? did you need new EM and Dps or just new flanges?

Nice project you got there. I just installed my meth injection and temps stay where they start in a fats pull and even at the strip it hardly moves up, maybe 10f or 15F at the end.

Nice, I've still got to install my Aqamist HFS and NOS. ;o)

To your question, everything is different and custom. They are no straight fit. If you go for the big exhaust side like mine the RS6 turbos look like toys. ;o)

Also as you can see the exhaust side has no flow restrictions and no arkward turbolence producing design. They're a much better designed turbo. After all they've been designed with porsche together.

Yup, if plans go the way they're heading I'll be knocking on the rs4 door, nice to see some loons over here though, I'll take my hat off to anyone considering 800bhp :P

I'll still aim cane your bag of tricks though
