Nice seats though I'd prefer technik fabric to leather or alcantara.

Perhaps you could get a retrimmer to put a vinyl wrap over the centre of the steering wheel to hide the VW roundel, the airbag would still work and you'd lose the dodgy emblems.

good idea paz - I will try that. Next time you see Lucas - ask how many heated seat elements he has squeezed into his pole positions - tart!

not trying 6 points until I get the roll cage fitted later in the year. Just heard too many horror stories about snapped necks!

I can vouch for the comfort of the pole postions on a reasonably long trip ~250 miles non stop. I thought they would be awful, but for me they are more comfortable than OEM recaros!

thats a huge weight reduction too if the original recaros are 50KG each and these are only 12KG! almost 5% of the cars weight! :o

recaros are plus side mounts and baseframes and adjusters - but I got decent money for th blue alcantara recaros and I am sure you will with the low mileage.

Recaro do have delays for these seats so your new buyer needs to be flexible on dates!

Philip, can you price me them with black alcantara inserts ?

I have the bases, just need the side brackets.

David,

With Amber-leather black (Leather look) and dimanica suede black you are looking at £465 ea. Full black leather is £745 ea.
The leather look is supprisingly good nothing like the leather look seats of old.
The lead time can be 4 weeks generally is around the 2.5 weeks from order.

By the way, I weighed the Audi Recaros before I fitted them to my old car and they are 36kg each.

Doug's guesstimate was close but no cigar ;)

Still damn heavy though.

David - what bases have you got - you don't have the centre slider on your car do you?
