A common dilemma - Help required...

Post by iR8V10 » Fri Aug 24, 2007 8:57 am

Trying to turn a bad situation into something positive I have decided that as I kerbed one of my alloys, it's an opportunity to think if the're right for my beauty?

Any pics you have which may help sway my decision would be appreciated?

20's on our roads?

I think the front R8 wheels are only 8.5 wide and the rears are too wide, 10 I think?

Mmm, I didnt vote... I dont like any of those wheels really.

I have BBS CH's on my car and I just love the way they work with the B5 look.

Another option that I have drooled over for many years are the sportec monos in 19"

Final choice would be Lambo replicas. I think they can look very good... again car must be lowered.

With all of these wheels though it is crucial to have the car lowered... I would not go 20" cause A: Performance B: Ride comfort. My 19's ride very well and are quite comfy... but there are those out there that swear 17/18's are much more comfy.

I do like the sportec mono's, always been on my wish list... dont go B7 RS4, like the B5 and the RS6's Audi are putting the same style on nearly all the other cars in their current range so not very exclusive...

I would go for 18s black - I don't like big wheels. If someone wants to swap for my 19s then let me know :-)

I do like those MTM's, you have the Milltek on there too...

That's the other option, just get the wheel refurbed and spend the cash on the exhaust....Too many choices!!

the only down side to the MTM's is that they weigh shed loads per wheel..and thats alot of unsprung weight per corner..

Really? I thought the point would be that they are light! I know I'm in the minority but I don't really like them and I had assumed they were bought primarily for weight saving.
