ESP & ABS DTC (G201 - E1435)

Had the ESP & ABS warning lamps light-up on the dash intermittantly over the course of a few months since getting my S4 in April, lately it had come up twice in as many weeks.

After much head-scratching and searching countless threads on many forums we couldn't find any owners opinions regarding the DTC.
Looking at the Ross-Tech Wiki here http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/01435 gave us a few pointers though.

I went to Sports Tech in Notts so they could take a quick look at it, Ben suggested the brake hydraulic unit may be at fault.
When I mentioned the cruise control only working once per journey he was fairly sure the brake switch was to blame but after checking the switch he concluded all was well at that end.

Next he took off the electronic control unit for the ABS and found all the contacts were corroded but not beyond repair, a quick spray of contact cleaner effected the desired result.

Although I guess it's too early to say that the ESP & ABS is working perfectly it has fixed my cruise control and since this sytem (I think) is governed by signals from the ESP & ABS all should be fine now.
