Guys - due partly to the lack of interest and the $h1te weather outlook (more the latter), we have decided not to venture out tomorrow...

Well guys, I turned up!! Me and the wife made it there for about 9.30 and there was already a massive queue...signed on and joined the line but took ages as they didn't start runs until 10.30! Had two runs and then left around midday as the queue was by then horrendous...didn't break into the 12s as I'd hoped but not a bad effort for my first time I thought...

Best run (remembered to turn ESP off!!) :

60ft 2.1082

330ft 5.7972

1/8 8.7691 @ 84.22mph

1000 11.2502

1/4 13.2832 @ 108.62mph

Looking forward to the next time and trying to crack the 12s...plenty of practice needed dumping the clutch....
Adam.

Yes, good effort Adam  and an even bigger effort for bothering to go in this weather!

I managed 13.99 1/4 at GTi International, on K03s and a little Harper on board...

Yes that's a good time, but you should be able to do a 1.8sec 60ft which will see your overall time drop by 3/10ths to below 13secs.

I'll be taking my oil burning taxi down next month to see if it'll hit low 13s.

That's what I'm after!! As I said, it was my first time so it all felt a bit surreal...never got the start right as I was concentrating too much on the lights and not really ready when they turned green...more practice needed on 4k+ starts and dropping the clutch...I was slipping the clutch at around 2.5k and flooring it! We'll definately need to do another one soon.... (weather permitting!!).

I had the edge on you off the line, but you can see how much your extra power pulls you way ahead after a 1000ft. Get the start right and that will really drop. Get back on the 22nd September!
