I think Adam's tongue was firmly in his cheek on the seats - more a light-hearted persuasion for me to sell!
I honestly don't know whether to stick with it or not. I don't find it excruciating to drive any more, but it isn't exaclt comfy. I did 3 hours straight on Friday and wasn't desperate to get out, but could I do 9 to my Mum's or more to the South of France? Dunno. Dunno if that matters either though as I have no plans to make either trip any time soon. I'll bring it to the meet on the 19th and hopefully Adam can decide then if he wants it and then money will play a part in the decider I guess.

Thanks Richard for the link.rjpatrick wrote:Hi Adam
Sorry to here about your car and pleased to hear that you walked out, been there myself and not much fun.
Should you decide not to go for an Avant - mine is up for sale and meets some of your requirements- mostly Blackness.

Let me know.

PS I haven't found the seats that bad - not as good as my old S8 though (no total tilt)
Your's is one of the cars on my "watch" list.
I've decieded to stop looking as it's going to be a week or two till i get the money from the insurance anyway.
Fingers crossed it's not much longer

Hopefully see you on Sunday then - I'd love to be packing our house as selling it is the only thing left between us and a one-way ticket to Wellington.
I'm still blowing hot and cold on selling the car. I used it to go to work 3 days this week as "the appliance" had oil in the water (leaking oil cooler). My commute is 200 miles / 3 hours a day and the seats were fine, but on Tuesday I drove a colleague home as we worked late and he missed his train and realised how firm and uncompromising the 6 feels. I had to take my old 530d on Wednesday to let a potential purchaser see it and when I was moving it on the drive it felt very cosseting. I nearly mailed you that evening to say the 6 was for sale for sure, but then on Wednesday the 530d felt so slow and so boring I was really disappointed and Thursday in the 6 was a whole new complexion. I might still be willing to sell, but you might have to be persuasive
At least someone else likes the 530d; he's picking it up tomorrow.
