Audi S4 01E Quaife ATB differential

Post by viperbl » Fri Aug 03, 2007 12:05 pm

So, first queston, anyone upgraded to this? I assume this is for the front, in the gearbox? secondly, will this fit my RS4 gearbox????

What kind of better performance should I execpt? Less "side to side" action as I accelrate hard?? Less understear in corners? (not that I get that much anyways!)

Or am I maybe better to go for a 80/20 centre diff instead and take away the power front the front wheels???

you should also consider a plate/clutch type diff which are better for track use, Gripper do them for front and back for 560 plus VAT

Its a fair amount of cash, but since the box is out, but then not sure what kind of differnce to expect, I mean, the car does seem to handle pretty well as it is ...

viperbl stasis's site have a good basic talk through what different diff's do

a rear lsd sounds to be fun on corners, quaife gear one sounds more refined for road use and track

its possible your rs4 centre diff is a 4:1 anyway, only a few were 2:1 as in s4 IIRC
