Exactly what needed for RNS-E & Bluetooth

Post by shaky » Thu Aug 02, 2007 9:51 am

Hi all, been reading threads to do with the above and I've managed to confuse myself (doesn't take much!).

Basically have a B5 RS4 with the symphony unit, would like to upgrade to the rns-e with tv & bluetooth, all is standard in my car except I did notice when I removed the symphony that there is a large multi-cored cable in the loom which looks to have been cut :? . Not sure if this is needed for anything but all seems to work as it should.

All help appreciated

Thanks Rick

RNS-E A6 Unit with GPS Aerial and nav DVD £400-£500
canGate £70 (fixes clock issue)
Wire Harness £45
Access to VAG-COM full version

Bluetooth info here, £350 or there abouts. http://www.navplus.us/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2563

Remember that the unit will not fit 100% but looks fine in my car (B5 S4)

TV will add about £1K to that - and will be obsolete before 2012 since it's analogue only.
Gone: 2006 B7 RS4 Avant (Phantom Black)
